Mathematics Contests

School Year 2013-2014

Mathematics is an important subject in the curricula of our school since it is a compulsory subject for the Final Exams, which mark the end of four years of high school studies.

Students belonging to our school have taken part in national and international Mathematics competitions such as: The International Mathematics and Informatics Contest dedicated to Caius Iacob, The National Applied Mathematics Contest dedicated to Adolf Haimovici and other mathematics competitions organized for high school students.

The International Mathematics and Informatics Contest dedicate to Caius Iacob was organized for the very first time in 2009. The contest was created for 11th and 12th grade students.

There are two sections: Mathematical Reasoning and Mathematical Technique. The students are asked to solve problems which are based on the high school curricula for Mathematics.
