Junior Achievement is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students in grades K-12 about entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs.
The Junior Achievements programs help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace. Students put these lessons into action and learn the value of contributing to their communities. (source: juniorachievement official site).
In Romania, the Junior Achievements’ programs are implemented in more than 1000 schools on the basis of the partnership signed with the Romanian Ministry of Education and due to the sustainment given by the local business communities.
In the Academic Year 2013-2014, the students from various schools (Economic High School Arad included) had the opportunity to visit the Coca Cola facilities located in Ploiesti and Timisoara. The students were shown how the famous fizzy drink was produced and bottled up. They were also given the chance to talk to people working in the facility, thus getting a picture of how labor was organized within a multi-national company.
