The 8th of March
International Women's Day (IWD), also called International Working Women's Day, is celebrated on March 8 every year. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women's economic, political, and social achievements.
The 8th of March is a festive day for students in our school. The 2014 festivity had the following programme:
1.Power Point presentation on the meaning and history of the IWD. The presentation was made by Alexandra Hutu and Daniel Stef (9th grade A), coordinated by Misses Iuliana Radu
2.The Poet’s Corner- poem reciting activity coordinated by the following teachers: Bernadeth Jurcoane (German Language), Simona Sfasie (English Language), Tomi Neli, Mira Odagiu and Rotaru Zoea (Romanian Language).
3.Power Point presentation entitled “The Eternal Feminine” made by Florina Adam (12th grade G), coordinating teacher Misses Tomi Neli
